Fawn Mckay

Fawn MCK Brodie was born on the 15th of September 1915 in Ogden Utah. Fawn was a part of the Mormon church's most prestigious family, combined her literary abilities and outstanding research skills into a brilliant biography on Joseph Smith. No Man Knew My History appeared in 1945. This title is taken from the funeral sermon given by Joseph Smith, founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. The preacher shocked the audience when he said saying: "You don't even know my name. It's been a long time since you've seen my feelings." Nobody knows my past. I don't know. Fawn 29, who was 29 was a writer. Fawn took his place as a writer from that point on. Some have rebuked him, while others have deified. Few have made an assessment. Not that the documents aren't there, it's the fact that they're contradictory. In order to assemble these documentsin order to distinguish first-hand accounts from thirdhand plagiarism, and finally, to put Mormon as well as non Mormon accounts together into a credible mosaic is no easy job. This is both exciting, as well as instructive. FawnBrodie dedicated herself to this profession. The results of her study as well as her writing earned her world-wide fame: Thaddeus Stevens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of The Southern Thomas Jefferson. The Intimate Histories (1974) The Life of Sir Richard Burton (1974) and Richard Nixon.
