Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1997 in Miami Florida. A half English mixed with Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father is Argentine and Scottish English descent. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's previous marriage. The family was initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. According to Taylor-Joy, the move was traumatic and she was unable to study English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to following her departure from Northlands. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16 she left the college and began pursuing a career as an actress full-time. From a young age Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to become an actress and her goals were realized when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
