Andrea Hope Elson was an American actor. Elson started in acting as child actor/model and later as a professional actress, is best known for the role as Alice Tyler as seen on CBS's science-fiction drama series. Andrea auditioned and won the part in the role of Lynn Tanner on the hit series ALF (1986). The actress was a regular in a variety of TV shows as well as Movies of the week before she decided to retire from the entertainment industry. Andrea Elson's job as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teenage daughter was not easy for her. In the 2000 retrospective of People Elson said developing as an actress of her age in front of a satcom's viewing audience was a challenge. Green-eyed Elson was born in New York City on March 6th 1970. Her career as an actress was a traveling actress since her father held a job as an advertising executive. She had already lived in New York as well as Chicago San Diego as well as Los Angeles before she turned ten. Andrea discovered an agent located in San Diego and won her audition for the first role. Fusco defended the premise saying that "ALF is 285 years old, he has the ability to drink beer, he's enough. In the years when ALF became more popular, NBC said that Fusco was no longer allowed to have ALF drinking beer with the kids. This was not a good image of a role model. Fusco was still convinced that ALF was an adult, and could manage the drinking. He was diagnosed in 1995 with lymphoma. It was successfully treated and his cancer was at a high level of remission through the end of 2019. Then, in Englewood New York, in the Lillian Booth Actors Home on the 26th of June 2019, the 75-year-old actor passed away due to cancer.
