Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen was born 6 May 1964. He is an actor from Denmark. He has appeared as Troels Hartmann the Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third series of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was also played by the character in the American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was presented with the Reumert Prize of Honour in the year 2011. At the age of 27, he enrolled at National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated from there in 1995. Alongside his appearance in the drama series released globally under the title The Killing he subsequently appeared in two other internationally popular Danish drama series, Those Who Kill and Borgen III. He also played a pivotal part in the episode of BBC drama Sherlock where he played the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. In the American TV series House of Cards he played the president of Russia. In 2018, he was awarded an International Emmy Award for his part in the main character of the Danish television drama Herrensveje. It aired in the UK as Ride Upon the Storm in 2019.
